Product Details

This vernier caliper family measures long workpieces from 0-450 mm / 0-18" through 0-2000 mm / 0-80". Solid unidirectional jaws omit the upper jaws, and a fine-adjustment mechanism sets the final position. Metric and inch vernier scales are provided, without data output.

Detailed Description

The caliper is hardened stainless steel and conforms to DIN 862. The beam face at the tail is marked STAINLESS STEEL HARDENED. Jaws are solid and unidirectional, with no upper jaws. A fine-adjustment mechanism is fitted. Internal jaws are 20 mm. Metric and inch graduations are both present, and the metric scale carries centimeter markings. A conversion chart is attached on the back. A stop-plate screw and a serial number are located at the back of the beam tail.

Resolution is 0.02 mm / 0.001" on every model. Jaw length changes with range. Art nos. 10-3115-431, 10-3115-631, 10-3115-731, and 10-3115-831 have a 150 mm jaw length and cover 0-450 mm / 0-18", 0-600 mm / 0-24", 0-800 mm / 0-32", and 0-1000 mm / 0-40". Art nos. 10-3120-813 and 10-3120-913 have a 200 mm jaw length and cover 0-1500 mm / 0-60" and 0-2000 mm / 0-80".

Each caliper is packed in a clear bag and a gray plastic box. Outer pack quantity is 5 pieces per carton. The scale is a vernier scale, so there is no digital display and no data output.

Accuracy is not stated. The 0.02 mm / 0.001" figure is the vernier reading, not an acceptance tolerance.

Key Features

  • Hardened stainless steel beam marked STAINLESS STEEL HARDENED
  • Solid unidirectional jaws without upper jaws and a fine-adjustment mechanism
  • Six ranges from 0-450 mm / 0-18" to 0-2000 mm / 0-80"
  • Vernier resolution of 0.02 mm / 0.001" on every model
  • DIN 862 compliance, metric and inch scales, and no data output
  • Jaw length of 150 mm or 200 mm according to the selected range

Applications

  • Long-part length inspection in machining and workshop production
  • Measurements that require lower jaws only
  • Quality checks where a manual vernier reading is acceptable
  • Selection of jaw length for deeper contact on the longer models

Selection Advice

Shorter models, from 0-450 mm / 0-18" through 0-1000 mm / 0-40", use a 150 mm jaw length. The 0-1500 mm / 0-60" and 0-2000 mm / 0-80" models use a 200 mm jaw length. Choose the shortest range that covers the workpiece.

Every model reads to 0.02 mm / 0.001". That value is the vernier resolution, not accuracy. Accuracy is not specified. A finer digital reading, such as 0.01 mm, is a different instrument and is not provided in this family.

Choose this vernier caliper when a manual scale and no battery are preferred. A digital caliper is the usual alternative when a numeric display is required. This family has no upper jaws.

FAQ

How do the models differ?

All six models share 0.02 mm / 0.001" resolution. Ranges are 0-450 mm / 0-18", 0-600 mm / 0-24", 0-800 mm / 0-32", and 0-1000 mm / 0-40" with 150 mm jaws, plus 0-1500 mm / 0-60" and 0-2000 mm / 0-80" with 200 mm jaws.

Is 0.02 mm the accuracy?

No. 0.02 mm / 0.001" is the vernier resolution. Accuracy is not specified and must not be taken from the resolution.

Is this a digital caliper?

No. It uses a metric and inch vernier scale. It has no digital display and is without data output.

What does without upper jaws mean?

The jaws are solid and unidirectional. Upper jaws are not fitted. Internal jaws are 20 mm.

Which standard applies?

The caliper conforms to DIN 862. The beam is marked STAINLESS STEEL HARDENED.

Can it be customized?

A serial number on the beam tail and a conversion chart on the back are documented. Confirm any further marking or packaging changes with the supplier before ordering.
